Our pastor has received her certificate in ‘Spiritual Direction’ in a 4 year program. She has also studied Celtic Spirituality at Durham University in England. She has written many Adult and Children Spirituality programs and particularly enjoys teaching spirituality in V.B.S. She will present the Bible Lesson after the movie clip and begin to lead the children to recognize the presence of God with us. We will discuss how God is recognized “with us” – not by what is happening outside. Outside is our training ground…our exercise field…our service area.

From our Pastor:

This year’s theme at Vacation bible School centers around ‘The Church’.

We will hear of the Church’s history, diversity, strengths, and commission to be a light and welcome to all God sends to her. We will also find the image of Christ in the church and begin to appreciate the presence of Christ with us in the Church throughout the ages.

And of course in the process we will begin to understand what it means to be the church today…for ourselves and for others.

For our final program Friday, August 1, we will build several displays to illustrate the development of the physical designs of the Church, the work of the people at various times in the Church and important strides in the growth of the Church.

The program is friendly to children of all denominations not highlighting one over the other. Instead lessons raise issues that have always interested the Church.

You must register for Vacation Bible School by calling 469-585 1252.
Sorry, we cannot accommodate walk-ins.

We will be collecting items for Tri-City Animal Shelter as our charitable project for VBS.  Please bring something to donate to this worthy cause (for example; cat food, dog food, paper towels, old towels or blankets, cat and dog toys)  Thank you!
